The annual "We will never forget" event produced by the American Legion Post 133 and the City of Huntington Beach, was held at Pier Plaza. A special year, as it was the 20th Anniversary of 9-11.

Long-time in coming, but the time finally arrived for the residents and visitors of HB! The State-owned railing will now be replaced with the adjacent bike path and area to receive TLC, as this ground-breaking event was the kickoff.

The City of Huntington Beach became the first municipality in Orange County to contract with an intervention program that helps to directly assist with mental and substance abuse issues of the Huntington Beach community, while freeing up valuable HBPD resources.

It's been 5 years, and the seniors of Surf City have enjoyed great music, ice-cream and fun on the grounds of the Senior Center (in Central Park). It's an anniversary of sorts as to when the Center opened for the first time.
