A tradition continues from Peterson Elementary and its faithful PTA, as in-person reading to grade school students by community members, is replaced with ZOOM, and thus allowing Peterson to connect with the national "Reading Across America" program for the 4th consecutive year in promoting literacy.

The Huntington Beach Human Relations Task Force celebrated a banner year for its "Black History Month" recognition through over 200 film submissions, and panel discussions.

The Club is used to raising needed funds through their annual and popular Crabfest or hosting one of their pancake breakfasts. Now, because of the Pandemic, the Lions of Huntington Beach pivots towards a canned drive held at two different days of the month - all in serving the local community, building a pantry and teaming up with other Host Lions from OC to donate to H.O.P.E.
