From Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers to former LA Dodger great Steve Garvey, KinderVision: The Greatest Save, played host at Seacliff Country Club for their annual golf/dinner fundraiser to stamp out child predators, which included a baseball clinic for young players like that from Huntington Valley Little League the day before.

Literacy and creativity were front and center at the Children's Library, as well as specific schools in Huntington Beach. Authors Festival brings young student writers to meet the children's authors at their school and return to the Children's Library in the afternoon for more connection, including the winners of the student writing and illustration contest.

17,000 runners from around the world got to run in a 5K, 1/2 Marathon and full Marathon along the Surf City coastline.

The City of Huntington Beach has been at the Tourism market for over 30 years now, and the world-wide marketing arm of Destination Marketing, VISITHB hosted a grand opening party for their new headquarters at 5th & PCH, complete with comments from Jan & Dean's Dean Torrence, who was there at the beginning over 28 years ago and whose influence help create the Surf City USA brand now known everywhere.
