LeBard Park is located in Huntington Beach and is a neighborhood park.
The City of Huntington Beach will soon begin Phase 2 improvements at LeBard Park, 20461 Craimer Lane, which is a City Council approved Capital Improvement Project this fiscal year! During this phase, the tennis courts will be completely refurbished, in addition to some landscape improvements. Phase 2 also entails removal of the small clubhouse building since it is beyond repair. While a new building is not currently funded, staff has received requests to have it replaced in the future. There have been many requests to expand Pickleball courts in the City of Huntington Beach. This phase presents an opportunity to bring Pickleball to LeBard Park by overlaying two (2) Pickleball courts onto one (1) tennis court. If lines are overlaid on the tennis court, Pickleball players will be required to bring their own nets, and hours of play will be posted to avoid conflicting use of the space. The second tennis court will remain for tennis use only. Before proceeding with further consideration of this concept, the City is seeking community input from neighboring residents to LeBard Park.
