HB Navigation Center
The Navigation Center opened its doors in December 2020 and is located at 17642 Beach Boulevard. The Center can shelter up to 174 adults and couples with ties to Huntington Beach. The Center, operated by Mercy House, provides access to vital services that will help individuals experiencing homelessness on the path towards housing security. All those in need of assistance and wishing to be housed within the Navigation Center must be referred by the City’s social workers or Homeless Task Force officers. No walk-ups will be accepted and those seeking entry must meet the following admission requirements:
- All individuals must be prescreened and receive a referral through HTF to be admitted (No walk ups).
- Clients must have significant and verifiable ties to the City.
- Clients must be actively engaged in the case management process and abide by all shelter guidelines.
- Clients who are registered as a Sexual or Arson Offender Registrants, or who have open felony warrants are prohibited from this facility. (Clients who fall into one of the above categories can contact the HTF Case Mangers for alternative referrals and resources.)
- Personal property is limited to one large storage bin and two large under-bed storage totes.
- All individuals must be able to meet all Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
If you do not meet the above requirements, our City’s social workers and Homeless Task Force officers can still assist in connecting individuals experiencing homelessness to other services available.
