Create and Submit Planning Applications

    1. Under the Planning tab, click CREATE AN APPLICATION.

    2. Under the Online Application section, read the disclaimer, click box to accept the terms, and click CONTINUE APPLICATION.

    3. Select the planning application by clicking on one of the circular buttons.  Click CONTINUE APPLICATION.

  1. Under Step 1: People > Contact Details
    Enter the applicant contact information. Click SELECT FROM ACCOUNT if you are using existing contact information or ADD NEW if you are adding a new contact.  Click CONTINUE APPLICATION.

  2. Under Step 2: Location > Location Details

    Enter the address (street number and street name) or the Assessor Parcel Number (APN) of the property and click SEARCH.

    A pop-up window with search results will appear.  Mark the circular buttons to identify the correct address and click SELECT.

    If the search does not return the expected results, click cancel, then clear, and enter in new criteria and search again.

    Click CONTINUE APPLICATION.

  3. Under Step 3: Information > Details

    Enter the application name, detailed description of the proposed scope of work, and proposed land use from a drop down menu.  Click CONTINUE APPLICATION.

  4. Under Step 4: Documents > Documents

    Attach the minimum submittal requirements.  Click ADD.

  5. A pop up window will appear.  Click ADD to locate file from your computer and select it.  Click CONTINUE.

    After the file is uploaded, select the type of file and enter the file description.  Click SAVE.  Click CONTINUE APPLICATION.

  6. Under Step 5: Review
    Please review each section of the application, including Applicant, Address, Project Information, and Attachment.

    Any incorrect information can be changed using the EDIT button for the applicable section.

    Once the application is determined to be accurate, mark the CERTIFICATION box and click CONTINUE APPLICATION.

  7. Once the application has been submitted, section Step 3: Receipt/Record Submittal will appear with the Record Number. Please write down this Number in order to check the status of the application.

    Click on the Record Number to view a summary of the planning application.

    Your application will be processed in the order in which it was received.  We will contact you via email with further instructions on finishing the process and once the application has been approved.
