The Maintenance Division of the Department of Public Works conducts an annual program during May and June to ensure the removal of weeds and rubbish from undeveloped (vacant) properties prior to fire season. Huntington Beach Municipal Code Section 8.16.010 requires property owners to keep their properties free from weeds and rubbish at all times. Property owners are subject to citation and fine at any time throughout the year for overgrown vegetation and accumulations of rubbish on their property.
Citizens who wish to report a dangerous or unsightly overgrowth of weeds on vacant, undeveloped property in our City may contact our Field Service Representative, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., at (714) 375-5010.
A home solar panel system consists of several solar panels, an inverter, a battery, a charge regulator, wiring, and support materials. Sunlight is absorbed by the solar panels and is converted to electricity by the installed system. The battery stores electricity that can be used at a later time, like cloudy days or during the evening. Learn more about solar.
