The Parkside residential development is approved for an approximately 50 acre site on the west side of Graham St. adjacent to the East Garden Grove-Wintersburg Flood Control Channel. The project will include the following components:
The project was approved after extensive analysis at the local and state level on October 11, 2012 by the California Coastal Commission. As a result of the public process, the residential component was downsized from 170 to 111 units and the amount of open space was doubled.
Shea Homes, project developer, will be working on developing construction drawings and compliance with conditions of approval throughout 2015 & 2016. It is not expected that construction of the project itself would commence before 2016, though there may be interim steps toward prepping the site for construction that will occur.
As of 2018, the model homes have submitted for plan check, grading has occurred and the required infrastructure is being constructed.
