Project Name: Main Street Mixed-Use
Applicant: Rhonda Neely
Location: 414-424 Main St.
Project Summary
To develop a four story, mixed-use building with 20 residential condominiums, 5,000 sq. ft. of commercial, and subterranean parking. The project also includes a request to participate in the City’s Parking In-lieu Fee program for nine commercial parking spaces and a Special Permit to permit a 2.55 ft. average setback on the third floor, along Main Street, in lieu of a minimum average setback of 10 ft. The item was approved by the Planning Commission on January 23, 2018. On January 29, 2018, Mayor Pro Tem Peterson appealed the Planning Commission’s approval of the project because payment of parking in-lieu fees were approved rather than provide the required parking for the project. The appealed project was presented to the City Council during a public hearing on February 20, 2018. The Council had a tie vote (3:3) and the Planning Commission’s approval of the project was upheld.
