Return Home Registry

The Return Home Registry is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and does not collect or disseminate medical information.

The program does not guarantee the safe return of your loved ones, but it will provide officers with an additional tool to help locate and return your loved one. This voluntary program is offered at no cost to participants. Caregivers can voluntarily register persons suffering from illnesses such as Alzheimer's, Autism, Cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, children with special needs, or other debilitating illnesses.

The Return Home Registry will be used in two ways:

A loved one or caregiver can notify the police department when they realize their loved one is missing and critical information will already be on hand to better assist police personnel in locating and returning the individual home.

If an officer or other police department personnel observes an individual that appears to be lost or confused, they will have tools on hand to help identify the individual and return them home.
