Senior Home Inspection Program

Senior Home Inspection Program

Project SHIP has trained volunteers to provide free home fire safety inspections and will install smoke detectors at no charge to Huntington Beach residents 60 years and older.  The home inspection program is designed to protect, support, and assist senior citizens in fire safety, burn prevention, accident prevention, earthquake preparedness, and home security through individual education.  The local business community donates the smoke detectors and batteries.  If you are qualified and would like to request an inspection you may call the Project SHIP hotline at (714) 374-1615.

For more information regarding this program, please call the Fire Safety Program Specialist at (714) 536-5419.
