On October 2, 2017 the City Council voted to create an Ad Hoc Committee to study and find the cause of Coastal Area Odors.
The Coastal Area Odors Ad Hoc Committee will be on hold while the Mayor and Council Members hold meetings with federal officials and local members of Congress. Rest assured, progress is being made to identify the source and the South Coast Air Quality Management District is in the midst of an active investigation. Upon completion of the investigation and meetings the Ad Hoc Committee will resume meetings. In the meantime, if you have questions about the Committee, please contact Antonia Graham at [email protected].
Should you experience an odor event, please continue to call the South Coast Air Quality Management District at 1(800) 288-7664.
