The Sunset Beach Local Coastal Program Review Board (LCPRB) was established to advise the Orange County and, upon annexation, the City of Huntington Beach on all discretionary actions in the implementation of the Sunset Beach Specific Plan/Local Coastal Program.
The Orange County Board of Supervisors established the seven-member Sunset Beach LCPRB as the official citizen’s advisory group in Sunset Beach pursuant to Resolution No. 82-349 on March 9, 1982.
The County’s Sunset Beach Specific Plan was developed largely through the vigorous efforts of the Sunset Beach community through the LCPRB. Upon annexation, the City of Huntington Beach continues to work closely with the LCPRB on all issues relevant to Sunset Beach community.
The LCPRB facilitates ongoing community participation in the long-term implementation of the Sunset Beach Specific Plan by providing a centralized forum for obtaining community opinion and transmitting recommendations to the City.
The LCPRB meets, as needed, on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Nobles Family Community Center, 16861 12th Street, Sunset Beach. Please refer to the meeting agendas accessible below.
