City Celebration Committee


Background

At the December 19, 2023 Council Meeting, the City Council approved of the formation of a 7-9 member resident committee to aid in the development of the City's Annual Celebration Calendar. 


Purpose & Duties 

  • Make recommendations for City Council Liaison consideration on future City Celebration Months.  
  • Make recommendations for City Council Liaison consideration on additional calendar acknowledgements. 
  • Make recommendations for City staff on Celebration content. 

Meeting Times and Dates

Committee Members and Appointments

The City Celebration Committee will consist of between 7 and 9 members.  The members must be residents of the City of Huntington Beach and are appointed by the City Council to serve for terms of two years. Currently, the City is accepting applications and interested individuals must fill out and submit the Boards & Commission Application.

Vacancies: In the event a member retires or is unable to complete his term, an appointment shall be made to fill the remainder of the unexpired term.
