posted on 03/23/2023.

Applications are now being accepted for the City of Huntington Beach's annual, citywide Citizens Academy! The Academy is a nine-week program designed to teach residents and business owners about the City and the services it provides.

Starting on Wednesday, April 26, participants will meet with City Council members, department heads and staff to learn about how decisions are made, how city funds are allocated, and how each department operates. The program will also incorporate tours of city facilities and discuss future plans for the city. The class meets every Wednesday at 5pm - with the first class at City Hall.

The program will encourage public involvement and will be free of charge. Space is limited! For more information, contact Julie Toledo at 714.536.5577 or [email protected].  Applications are due Friday, April 14 by 5pm.

*Due to the popularity of the program there is a limit of one participant per household or business.
