The City of Huntington Beach is now accepting applications to fill a City Council vacancy that terms on December 2024! To apply, you must be a U.S. citizen, a Huntington Beach resident at the time of application and during the term, and 18 years or older.

The application deadline is June 18, 2021 at 5:00pm. To apply, fill out an online application at http://bit.ly/hbcitycouncil. If you prefer to complete a paper application, please visit the City Clerk's Office at 2000 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.

Following the submittal of an application, the applicant must interview with the City Council at a future date and time. Tentative interview dates are scheduled for either June 25-27 or July 9-11, which will decided based on the volume of applications received by the June 18 deadline.

The City Council will consider both the applications and interviews to make a final decision, which will be considered at a City Council Meeting in July.
