The City of Huntington Beach is now offering its third, citywide Citizens Academy, a nine-week program designed to teach residents and business owners about the City and the services it provides.
Starting the evening of May 1, participants will meet with City Council members, department heads and staff to learn about how decisions are made, how city funds are allocated, and how each department operates. The program will also incorporate tours of city facilities, discuss future plans for the city, and conclude with a graduation acknowledgement at a July 22 City Council meeting.
The program will encourage public involvement and will be free of charge. Space is limited! For more information, contact Julie Toledo at 714.536.5577 or [email protected]. Applications due Thursday, April 11, see attached form to apply.
*Due to the popularity of the program there is a limit of one participant per household or business.
