Join Mayor Mike Posey and American Legion Huntington Beach Post 133 this Sunday, Nov. 11 at 11am for a special Veterans Day Ceremony at Huntington Beach Pier Plaza to celebrate the veterans who gave of themselves for their country. The valor, dedication, and heroism of veterans will be acknowledged, for without them we would not have the freedom we enjoy today.
Music by the Huntington Beach High School band, Three Volley Rifle Salute by the American Legion Post 133 Honor Guard, and keynote speech by Sgt. Taylor Scholtes of the US Army.
2018 marks the Centennial Commemoration of the end of World War I on November 11, 1918. The theme for the 2018 Veterans Day Poster is: “The War to End All Wars” and features a poppy and barbed wire.
City Hall will be closed on Monday, November 12 in observance.
