Patriot Day Ceremony on 9/11 at 6pm at Pier Plaza

The annual Patriot Day Ceremony this Tuesday, 9/11 at Pier Plaza marks the 17th anniversary of the horrible tragedy that took so many lives. The City of Huntington Beach will host a ceremony to give the community a chance to reflect and remember.

Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Pier Plaza at 6pm.

Hosted by the American Legion Post 133, the event will include representation by HBPD, HBFD, elected officials, Huntington Beach High School Band playing “Taps,” the Striking of Four Fives by HBFD, and a flyover by HBPD.

In addition, the event will honor the Police Officer of the Year, Humberto Valdez; Fire Fighter of the Year, Tyson Cox; and Marine Safety Officer of the Year, Sterling Foxcroft.
