With so many dedicated employees in the Finance Department who provide excellent customer service, it’s difficult to single out just one person for this award. We are recognizing Elizabeth Ferguson because she exemplifies dedication and public service.
Elisabeth Ferguson joined the City and its Business License section in May of 2001. She ensures that the business community of Huntington Beach receives outstanding customer service. She is dependable, thoughtful, and thorough. Elizabeth loves working for the City of Huntington Beach, and it comes across in her interactions with the community and with her fellow City employees.
When a supervisory vacancy developed in the Business License section, she stepped up and took the leadership role of supervising and training staff while providing excellent customer service to the public. During this same time, two of her co-workers went out on maternity leave. Elizabeth has been training temporary staff in order to keep the section operating.
In addition to this work, Elizabeth has also stepped up to serve as the Department’s subject matter expert for a major software project – the enterprise land management system replacement.
Elisabeth lives in Orange County with her husband and two children.
