The California Energy Commission (CEC) has approved AES's request to work extended hours in April. This work is required to install foundations for the most important energy equipment for the Huntington Beach Energy Project. The pouring of concrete for each individual foundation is a continuous process. Additional dates are needed in May 2018.
Once it has begun, the pour must continue until it is complete to avoid hindering the integrity of the concrete in the foundation. To safely and efficiently complete the pours, AES has received approval for extended work hours on the dates identified below:
Starting at 1:00 a.m.
Fri., April 6
Fri., April 13
Fri., April 20
Fri., April 27
Extended construction hours are hours worked outside of our normal construction hours of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Any “extended” work hours on the dates listed above will only be related to long concrete pours. Please note, these dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
If you would like to receive email notifications and updates about this work, please email [email protected] and write “extended work hours” on the subject line.
Please feel free to contact the project hotline at (888) 372-5633 with any questions.
