SCHEDULED ITEMS:

1. PETITION DOCUMENT: COASTAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT NO. 2008-013 (DOG BEACH STORAGE CONTAINER – CONTINUED FROM THE NOVEMBER 19, 2008 MEETING)
APPLICANT: City of Huntington Beach, Community Services Department
REQUEST: To permit one 160 sq. ft., 8.5 ft. tall storage container for the distribution and storage of Dog Beach information/merchandise and maintenance items.
LOCATION: Dog Beach (south side of Pacific Coast Highway, between Goldenwest Street and Seapoint Street)

STAFF RECOMMENDS: Approval with modifications based upon suggested findings and conditions of approval

2. PETITION DOCUMENT: TEMPORARY USE PERMIT NO. 2008-006 (JACK’S SURFBOARDS OUTDOOR SIDEWALK SALES)
APPLICANT: Ron AbdelFattah
REQUEST: To permit outdoor sidewalk sales for fifty (50) days per year for a period of five (5) years from 2009-2013.
LOCATION: 101 Main Street, 92648 (northwest corner of Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway– Downtown Huntington Beach)

5. PETITION DOCUMENT: COASTAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT NO. 2008-021 (WARNER FIRE STATION - SIGN)

REQUEST: To permit the construction of a 5 ft. high, 18 sq. ft. freestanding sign.
LOCATION: 3831 Warner Avenue, 92649 (north side of Warner Avenue, east of Pacific Coast Highway – Huntington Harbour)

6. PETITION DOCUMENT: CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2008-045 (FIVE POINTS CENTER PARKING REDUCTION)
APPLICANT: John Bates
REQUEST: To permit a parking reduction of 21 parking spaces to allow for the establishment of a 4,200 sq. ft. restaurant within an existing commercial shopping center.
LOCATION: 18541-18631 Beach Boulevard (south east corner of Beach Boulevard and Main Street)

STAFF RECOMMENDS: Approval based upon suggested findings and conditions of approval

 

Under the provisions of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the action taken by the Zoning Administrator is final unless an appeal is filed to the Planning Commission by you or by an interested party. Said appeal must be in writing and must set forth in detail the action and grounds by which the applicant or interested party deems himself aggrieved. Said appeal must be accompanied by a filing fee of One Thousand Two Hundred Eighty Seven Dollars ($1287.00) if the appeal is filed by a single family dwelling property owner appealing the decision on his own property and One Thousand Five Hundred Sixty Nine Dollars ($1569.00) if the appeal is filed by any other party. The appeal shall be submitted to the Secretary of the Planning Commission within ten (10) calendar days of the date of the Zoning Administrator's action or ten (10) working days for a coastal development permit.
