Surf City Highlights - August 2015 - Community & Service Club Hall of Fame luncheon

Two world records were broken in June on World Surfing Day and the event, having the largest surfboard and riding a wave for more than 10 seconds with 65 surfers. A project that was more than a year in the making (literally), here is the Highlight that brought a community and surfing enthusiast together and brought HB world-wide recognition.

Held at the Waterfront Beach Resort, A Hilton Hotel, both teachers and many students received awards and grant monies to help spur technology into the classroom. The HBEF also received $25,000 from the Microsoft Corporation.
