Before boot camp, there’s Battle Shark on the beach! The SoCal Recruiting Battalion brought in over 700 plus army recruits from all over Southern California to Huntington Beach. Teams competed in a variety of games, with notable celebrity coaches like HB’s Bad Boy, Tito Ortiz, cheering them on.

Here’s a fund raiser from the Waggin’ Trails Transport Foundation held at the Equestrian Center’s Red Barn. Square Dancing, Arts & Crafts, food and raffle prizes, including a roaming magician were all crowd pleasers.

This Huntington Beach Council on Aging event at Meadowlark County Club was a way to say thank you to the many volunteers that have donated over 53,000 hours, resulting in a budget savings over a million dollars in services to our Senior community.

Now in its 46th year, this Mother’s Day weekend icon event is the largest community event Sunset Beach produces. With over 28 committees representing the Las Damas woman’s organization, monies raised goes to help many causes, including education at HB schools and scholarships.
