The Recreation and Human Services Division provides a variety of programs and operates the Rodgers Seniors' Center, Seniors Outreach Center and the city's senior housing complex - Emerald Cove.  Other activities include adult sports, which involves hundreds of men, coed and seniors softball teams, Project Self-Sufficiency, Clubhouses, and the annual Fourth of July Celebration.  This division also provides staff assistance for many boards and commissions, including the Children's Needs Task Force, Fourth of July Board, Youth Shelter, United Way and Council on Aging.
