The Public Works Department is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of public facilities and infrastructure within the City of Huntington Beach. This requires us to respond to requests for service, coordinate efforts with local, regional, state, and federal agencies, and to work with the community in all of our efforts.
The Public Works Department performs community enhancement and preservation functions, such as maintenance of sewer, streets, parks, transportation, and water systems. Use the navigation bar to the left to get more information about any of the department's six divisions: Administration, Engineering, Maintenance Operations, General Services, Transportation, or Utilities Operations.
