Solar Photovoltaic Rooftop Permits

The intent and purpose of AB 2188 are to adopt an expedited (no greater than three days) permitting process for small residential rooftop solar energy systems that complies with California Government Code Section 65850(g).  It is designed to encourage the use of solar systems by removing unreasonable barriers, minimizing costs to property owners and the City, and expanding the ability of property owners to install solar energy systems.  Below are the permit fee limits for photovoltaic (solar) panels pursuant to AB 2188
