Public Comments– the Public Works Commission welcomes public comments on all items on this agenda or of community interest. Three minutes per person, time may not be donated to others. Commission on this date can take no action on any item not on the agenda. This is the time to address Commission regarding items of interest or agenda items other than public hearings. Communications on agenda items will be scheduled such that public comments may be received as close to 5:00 p.m., or later, as possible.

E. DIRECTOR’S ITEMS

E-1. June Meeting Location and Time – Discussion of possibly daytime meeting to be held at the Maintenance Facility followed by a tour.

F. INFORMATION ITEMS

F-1. Active Capital Project Report – An update on active capital projects under construction, as well as those in the planning stage, is presented for the Commission's information.

F-2. Upcoming City Council Study Sessions - The City Council conducts public Study Sessions on the evenings of City Council meetings, normally beginning at 4:00 p.m., in Room B-8. A tentative listing of upcoming sessions is submitted for the Commission’s information.

G. ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS

G-1. Advertise Greenview Lane Maintenance Project, MSC-446 - Plans and Specifications for the Greenview Lane Maintenance Project, MSC-446 are in final preparation. The project is ready to advertise for competitive bids.

Funding Source: Funds for the Greenview Lane Maintenance Project, MSC-446 re budgeted from Gas Tax. The engineer’s cost estimate for this project is $75,000.

Recommended Action: Recommend the Greenview Lane Maintenance Project, MSC-446 to the City Council.

G-2. Advertise City Entry Node Sign Project - Plans and Specifications for the City Entry Node Sign Project are in final preparation. The project is ready to advertise for competitive bids.

Funding Source: Funds for the City Entry Node Sign Project are budgeted from the General Fund. The cost estimate for this project is $300,000.

Recommended Action: Recommend the City Entry Node Sign Project to the City Council.

G-3. 2006/07 Arterial Rehabilitation Overlay Project; CC-1294 - Plans and specifications for the 2006/07 Arterial Rehabilitation Overlay Project; CC-1294, are in final preparation. Staff requests the Commission's recommendation of this project to the City Council.

Funding Source: Funds for this project are available from Gas Tax and Measure “M” Turnback funds. The engineer’s estimate is $3.8 million.

Recommended Action: Recommend the 2006/07 Arterial Rehabilitation Overlay Project; CC-1294, to the City Council.
