The Huntington Beach Hometown Heroes Banner Program honors the brave men of women of Huntington Beach currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. A joint effort between the City of Huntington Beach and American Legion Post 133, the personalized banners are displayed on light poles up and down major streets throughout the city to both celebrate and remind residents of their dedication to our country
In order to qualify, the hero to be displayed must be an active member of the United States Armed Forces and must be a resident or has an immediate family member who is sponsoring the banner and resides in Huntington Beach (wife/husband, daughter/son, or granddaughter/ grandson). Verification of qualifications is required. Banners shall be displayed for a specified period of time, before being retired and given to the hero or the celebrated hero’s family.
Each banner costs a total of $110 for fabrication, hardware and installation. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.Please see the application brochure for more details.
