In response the potential severe weather, the Huntington Beach Emergency Operation Center (EOC) will be activating tomorrow at 1300 to monitor the situation and coordinate any potential issues. Residents are encouraged to monitor City social media pages and receive up to date information at huntingtonbeachca.gov/HBEmergency. If you have not done so, register your cell phone and e-mail at www.AlertOC.com to receive important information in an emergency.
A Flood Watch is in effect for Orange County coastal area Friday through Saturday. A Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. In the event of severe flooding don't try to cross water flowing above your knees. “Turn Around Don’t Drown”. If advised to evacuate, do so immediately and use travel routes recommended by local authorities.
Sandbags are available at the City Corporate Yard, 17371 Gothard Street, 7:30am – 4pm, Monday – Friday and at Magnolia Fire Station/Edison Community Center and Warner Fire Station 24 hours.
