Junior Flag Football

Junior Flag Football

Junior Flag Football is a semi-competitive introduction to flag football for youths in 1st or 2nd grade. Participants will be taught the responsibility of each player on the field, basic rules of the game and the importance of sportsmanship. Participants will not only learn flag football but will also strengthen social skills by interacting with their coaches and teammates. All players will be placed on a team and will receive a jersey. The first three weeks will consist of football drills designed to enhance the players' understanding of the game. Weeks three through six will consist of actual games, allowing players to demonstrate their skill and overall knowledge of the sport. Sign-ups will begin August 1, 2011 and will continue on a daily basis until the first day of the program on September 24, 2011 or until leagues are filled (limited availability).

Junior Flag Football will be held at 9:00 AM beginning September 24, 2011 at Murdy and Edison Community Centers.
