Arterial Rehabilitation Projects Begin - Construction has begun on a pavement rehabilitation project that will improve segments of three arterial streets. The $7 million project is funded by Gas Tax and a $2.8 million Federal Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Program (AHRP) grant. These funds are the result of a competitive grant application submitted by the Public Works Department. Projects were designed to elicit high scores; therefore, streets were broken into segments. This is one reason that full street lengths on arterials are not constructed in one phase. The project will rehabilitate the existing pavement on: Adams Avenue between Magnolia Street and the Santa Ana River, Bolsa Chica Street between Warner Avenue and Rancho Road, and Goldenwest Street between Warner Avenue and McFadden Avenue. Overgrown trees have been removed, and the small tree wells will be replaced with grouped plantings.
A home solar panel system consists of several solar panels, an inverter, a battery, a charge regulator, wiring, and support materials. Sunlight is absorbed by the solar panels and is converted to electricity by the installed system. The battery stores electricity that can be used at a later time, like cloudy days or during the evening. Learn more about solar.
