Connie Boardman has been a Huntington Beach resident since 1991. Connie is a biology professor and chair of the biology department at Cerritos College where she has worked for 22 years. A former councilwoman, and our Mayor in 2003, Connie did not run for re-election in 2004, but decided to run once again in 2010.
Connie has been an active member of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust since 1993, and is currently on the board of the Trust. Southern California Edison recently recognized her contributions at Bolsa Chica by presenting her with an Environmental Hero award.
Connie has a strong interest in land use issues, water quality, and hopes to continue the move of Huntington Beach toward a greener and more sustainable city.
