Landscape Maintenance & Pest Control
Landscape Maintenance crews care for landscaping within the public right-of-way, including medians, roadsides, and other public grounds. The arterial street landscape program provides services that meet three goals; pedestrian and vehicular safety, community continuity of appearance, and essential plant care. Utilizing minimal staff and volunteers, crews maintain approximately 2.8 million square feet of landscaping and irrigation and manage contractual services for an additional 400,000 square feet.

The Pest Control program provides chemical control of weeds, insects, and plant diseases using integrated pest management guidelines, state licensed pest control advisors, and state certified chemical control applicators operating specialized equipment. The program provides weed control services within the landscaped right-of-way, city parks, streets, alleys, and city facilities for improved appearance, cleanliness, and fire safety.
