this is a powerful story about a young teenage girl named Anne in Holland during World War II telling her story of how she and her family lived in hidding from the nazis. It is a very impowering book and a great way to learn about that time in history from a winess.

Do you like adventure and fantasy books? Then you should read Edward Eager, he has lots of books. But he has one book called Half Magic. It is a fun story about four kids in the 1920’s. Mark is the oldest and only boy in the family, Katherine is very smart, Jane is very sweet, and Martha, the youngest, always has good ideas. They find a coin that grants wishes. Well not exactly. The coin only grants half of the wish so you have to wish twice for what you want. For instance, if you want a car you have to wish for two cars. In the story the four kids meet a guy named Mr. Smith, who is very important at the end. But I can’t tell you so see for yourself. I like the book because it is fun and timeless. I think kids aged 9 and older should read it because it has difficult words. I learned that sometimes you think you want something but you should just leave things the way they are.

This book is an astounding page-turner of just the right blend of action, humor, and suspense. I enjoy reading it because the characters make the story very plausible and add to the story's "soul". Artemis Fowl, for one, is quite the inspiring character. this book has ingenious plots, no mistakes, twisted diversions, ironic humor, and epic adventures. I'll always be glad that I picked up this book at the library( I was on the verge of not getting it). This series is my absolute favorite.Thank you, Mr. Colfer, for writing the best book I've ever read(and I've read a lot of books)!

The worst book ever written. If you are a female, and a teenager, you may think that this book is for you. The cover depicting a handsome Latino, the back cover telling you all about the elusive, the darkly charismatic Alex Fuentes... It's not that this book is particularly bad, it has all the elements of a typical teenage love story: horrible dialogue, two cardboard characters with ridiculous problems, a plot based on a dare, a set of stereotypes and assumptions about Mexicans so ridiculous it borders on obviously racist. Many have said, and will continue to say, that it was the best love story ever. Certainly it appeals to one's ideas of escapism. But please, teenage girls, if you read this, step away from Simon E. Alka Seltzer and try reading something, anything else. You won't realize how truly awful it is until you find yourself liking it, and wishing that you were the protagonist, Brittany Ellis. When this happens promptly make your way to the nearest bookshelf and fill your head with Mark Twain or Charlotte Bronte or Lovecraft or anything that will remind you why you love to read: for good stories and dynamic characters, not this nonsense. Out of ten stars: *

Simone Elkeles is a brilliant author and her books are worth the time to read them. Leaving paradise is a intense love story where two people don't know their are in love and in turn help each other find the strength to face others. I would reccommend this book to both boys and girls.

This book by Sarah Dessen is just simply amazing. I enjoyed every page and could not get enough. The fact that it delt with a girl with divorced parents, new step mom, and getting the childhood she never had is very compelling to anyone. I would defintely recommend this book to those who are fans of dessen's and girls. :)

First book in the Sookie Stackhouse Mysteries Series. Sookie is a small-time cocktail waitress at the bar Merlotte's in small town Bon Temps, Louisiana. She can read the minds of the people around her. Unfortunately she doesn't see this as a gift but more of a disability until Bill Compton walks into the bar one night and changes her life forever. Sookie is thrilled by the arrival of Bon Temps first Vampire and also that she can't read his mind. After saving eachother's life they form a strong relationship and together solve they mystery that has killed a number of woman who have been in a sexual relationship with a vampire. Sookie fearing that she is next. This novel is fast, funny and scary. The author is very descriptive (sometimes too descriptive) and sets your imagination alight. The mystery is both shocking and intriguing with an unexpecting outcome, with possibly the best ending I have ever read. The Sookie Stackhouse Mysteries has also recently been created into a TV series and is currently on it's second series, (based on the sequel of Dead until Dark, Living Dead in Dallas) the TV series is called True Blood and has been proved very popular in America.

The best twilight series book by far. Many action-filled parts and not too much romance, twilight was the best book i have read in a long time!

A friend of mine at JobCorp introduced me to this book and told me that all of her friends are reading it. And she showed me the inscription on the inner cover of the book where the author apparently donated a bunch of them to support our local PBS station. Everybody in my school is reading this book. The book's about cat people with psychic powers. I don't know when I've had so much fun reading a book. Not just because my girlfriend is reading along with me either. I'm into Science Fiction. I like things like Star Trek, Star Wars and Stargate. Anyway if you're a Science Fiction fan this book is a must read.
