Banning Branch is located adjacent to Eader Elementary school. When parking in the front lot that has "Library Parking Only" signs, be sure to obtain a parking pass from the Branch staff and place it on your car dashboard to avoid a ticket.
Storytimes
Preschool Storytime (for ages 3 to 5) Thursdays at 10am to 10:30am, 11am to 11:30am.
11am is a repeat of the 10am storytime. (Open early on Thursdays only for storytime)
Grandparent Storytime: (for all ages) Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30pm
Computers & Internet
- 15 cents per page for black and white laser printing from the Computer Lab.
- 20 cents per page for black and white photocopies from the photocopy machine.
- Computers with Internet and Microsoft Office are available to the Library cardholders for 1 hour free per day.
- Non-cardholders may use the computers for a fee of $5.00 per hour.
- A Swintec 7000 coin operated typewriter is available for 25 cents for 30 minutes.
Homework Assistance
All ages are invited to our Homework Assistance Program: Wednesdays from 3pm to 5pm during the school year.
Used Book Sales
Banning has ongoing book sales so book donations are gratefully accepted.
Library Facts
The 2,400 square foot Banning library building was originally built in 1962 as a real estate sales office located at 22171 Bushard Avenue. On March 26, 1968 the building was moved to its present location and subsequently opened as library. In 2007, the architectural firm of Tetra Design was commissioned to design a new 12,500 sq ft library building for Banning. It is hoped that funding and community support will help make the new Banning Branch Library a possibility in the near future.
