STRUCTURAL DESIGN CRITERIA (2007 C.B.C.)

| Wind Exposure | Site specific for each project (CBC Section 1609) Wind Exposure Guidelines |
| Seismic Design Category | Site specific for each project based on latitude (CBC Section 1613) The parameters may be determined by using the USGS program available at: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/research/hazmaps/design |
| Soil Bearing Capacity | A soils report is required per CBC Section 1802. For minor residential remodels, see Huntington Beach City Policy B-4-3. |
| Rainfall (structural) | Design rainfall intensity (i) of minimum 2 inches per hour shall be used to determine the design rain load, R (CBC Section 1611) |
| Rainfall (drainage) | 4 inches per hour for roof drainage design |
| Conventional Construction Criteria (CBC 2308) | -Seismic Design Category D -Braced walls per CBC Section 2308.12 and Table 2308.12.4 where SDS>1.00 |
